Meet Our Rhinoplasty Surgeon

Background

Dr. Ari S. Hoschander is a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive training and experience. Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Hoschander is known for his expertise in a range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, bringing a wealth of knowledge to his rhinoplasty patients.

Education and Early Training

Dr. Hoschander earned his medical degree from the prestigious Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2006. Following graduation, he pursued a general surgery internship at North Shore University Hospital-Long Island Jewish Medical Center (now part of the Northwell Health System), which then led to a general surgery residency from 2007 to 2010.

During this time, he was recognized for his excellence in teaching, receiving the Resident Teaching Award in both 2009 and 2011 for his outstanding contributions to the North Shore-LIJ Department of Surgery. His leadership skills were further highlighted when he served as Chief Resident of General Surgery during the 2010-2011 academic year.

Plastic Surgery Training and Academic Contributions

Building on his solid foundation in general surgery, Dr. Hoschander pursued a three-year plastic surgery residency at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine.

While there, he played a significant role in advancing the field, co-editing and co-authoring a comprehensive textbook titled Operative Procedures in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery, published by CRC Press in 2015.

His scholarly work extends beyond textbooks, as Dr. Hoschander has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, contributing to advancements in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
